Valencia Bikeway Improvements - February 2023 Project Update

MARCH 16, 2023 UPDATE: The mid-Valencia pilot proposal was scheduled to be heard at a joint public hearing and SFMTA Board of Directors meeting on March 7, 2023. The hearing and review for approval of pilot proposal has now been postponed until the April 4, 2023 meeting.

Thank you so much for your continued interest and engagement in the Valencia Bikeway Improvements effort. Our project proposal and bikeway design has been updated in response to the feedback we received during the open house period. Changes include: 

  • Updated buffer and bikeway separation materials. Please see the updated plan view drawings for more details.  

  • Pilot project limits are now on Valencia Street between 15th and 23rd streets. The southern limit was previously 24th Street. Please see Question 11 on the Updated FAQs for more information.

Next Steps  

The final pilot proposal will be heard at the joint Public Hearing and the SFMTA Board of Directors meeting scheduled for April 4, 2023.
