Regional Transit Connection (RTC) Card Request

NEW! Starting January 9, 2022, there will be no processing fee for all new applications as well as in-person renewals. The in-person processing fee for a replacement card will be reduced to $3.

If you are an existing RTC customer with a permanent disability (designated by a red "P" on the card) you can submit your renewal request using the online form below. No fee or in-person visit is required. For all other renewals call 415.646.2224.  

New medical applications are accepted at the SFMTA Customer Service Center (11 South Van Ness Avenue/Monday - Friday from 8:00 A.M. - 5:00 P.M). Please bring a completed application and a valid government-issued ID.

Please fill out the form below to request a renewal or replacement of your RTC Discount ID Card. For more information about the RTC program, please visit the Metropolitan Transportation Commission's RTC program page.

All San Francisco residents who need to renew their RTC Card will have the application fees waived. RTC replacement applications will receive a one-time free courtesy replacement for San Francisco residents only.
