Purpose

The Muni collision rate is tracked in an effort to improve the safety of the Muni system.

Definition

Collision counts are collected and normalized to mileage for system-wide reporting.

Methodology

sum ([number of collisions) * 100,000 ÷ sum ([number of miles])

Target

Achieve less the 4.8 collisions per 100,000 miles in FY 23-24.
