The Golden Gate Half Marathon will begin in Fort Mason, closing streets and rerouting Muni service in the early morning. Read below for more information.

Street Closures

The race begins at 7 a.m. Street closures in the Marina will take place from 6:30 to 10:15 a.m.

Beginning at Van Ness and Beach, the race will go south on Van Ness, west on Bay, north on Laguna, west on Marina to Crissy Field, The Presidio and the Golden Gate Bridge, reversing back on same route except for at Laguna and Beach, where runners will proceed through Fort Mason.

Muni Reroutes

Muni will reroute the 28, 30, 47 and 49 from 6 to 8 a.m.

Temporary Service Changes by Route
Route Summary of Change
28 19th Avenue Stops at Golden Gate Bridge Toll Plaza will be missed.
Temporary layover will be at North Point & Polk.
30 Stockton

Service to Jefferson Loop will be rerouted along Union and Van Ness.
Service to Fort Mason will have a temporary layover at North Point & Polk.

47 Van Ness Reroute will be along Polk, Bay and Van Ness to the regular route.
49 Mission/Van Ness Temporary layover will be at North Point & Polk.
