FINAL UPDATE: System reboot has been completed. IB train switchbacks have been cancelled & we are resuming regular #SubwaySvc operations. Bus shuttles will remain temporarily to provide supplemental svc. We will continue to monitor the system in case the issue reappears. (More: 25 in last 48 hours)

Howard Street Closure: September 11-30, 2018

Three events require the closure of Howard Street between 3rd and 4th streets. These closures impact automobile traffic and bicycle traffic. For more information about these closures, read the SFMTA Blog post.

  • Road is closed to automobile traffic
  • Sidewalk is open on north side of street
  • Bicycle detour is to use 2nd Street and Market Street or to walk bike on Howard Street sidewalk

Saturday, September 15 to Wednesday, September 19

  • Road is closed to automobile traffic
  • Sidewalk is open on north side of street
  • Bicycle lane is open

Wednesday, September 19 to Saturday, September 29

  • Road is closed to automobile traffic
  • Sidewalk is open on north side of street
