Muni is making minor route and stop changes for the K Bus, L Bus, L Owl, 8 Bayshore and 49 Van Ness/Mission. Please read below for summaries about each route. Route pages will be updated on the first day of service, including schedule information, NextMuni predictions and Live Map data.

K Bus

The K Bus will no longer serve the stop outside Forest Hill Station. To connect to Forest Hill Station, transfer to the 44 O'Shaughnessy at Woodside & Portola.

Note

With the return of the KT line, the K Bus schedule is limited:

  • On weekends from 5am to 8am, K Bus operates between Balboa Park and the Ferry Building
  • Every night from 9pm to 10pm, K Bus operates between Balboa Park and West Portal Station; transfer to L Bus for service to Downtown

L Bus

The L Bus will no longer serve the stop outside Forest Hill Station. Take KT line in the subway to get to Forest Hill Station. To connect to Forest Hill Station from the L Bus:

  • Transfer to the 44 O'Shaughnessy at Woodside & Portola
  • Transfer to the KT line at West Portal Station
    • Weekdays, 6am to 9pm
    • Weekends, 8am to 9pm

L Owl

8 Bayshore

The 8 Bayshore will resume its northbound route along Kearny through the Financial District and Chinatown. To improve service frequencies, there will be a short and long route.

The terminal for the long route is Kearny & North Point. The terminal for the short route is Kearny & Pacific.

Note

The short route replaces the 8AX.

49 Van Ness/Mission

To improve service frequencies, the 49 Van Ness/Mission will have a short and long route. The terminal for the long route is Powell & Beach. The terminal for the short route is Van Ness & North Point.
