San Francisco Giants Games
Friday, July 24 through Wednesday, July 29:The San Francisco Giants will play six games at the ballpark. Listed below are the start time for these games:
- Three games against the Los Angeles Angels: a) 7:15 p.m., Friday, July 24; b) 1:05 p.m., Saturday, July 25; and c) 1:05 p.m., Sunday, July 26.
- Three games against the Milwaukee Brewers: a) 6:45 p.m., Monday, July 27; b) 6:45 p.m., Tuesday, July 28; and c) 12:45 p.m., Wednesday, July 29.
Street Closures
To accommodate events that will take place at the ballpark, the following street closures will be enforced:
- Two and a half hours before the opening pitch, the SFMTA will close eastbound King Street between 3rd and 2nd streets to vehicle traffic. King Street will reopen after first pitch until the seventh inning.
- From the seventh inning until post-game traffic dies down, the SFMTA will again close eastbound King Street between 3rd and 2nd streets to vehicle traffic in order to reduce congestion on city streets.
- Additionally, the northbound portion of the 4th Street Bridge (Peter R. Maloney Bridge) will be closed to all traffic except Muni, taxis and bicycles during the post-game period.
Taxi Stands
- 2nd Street, west side, between Brannan and King Streets
- 2nd Street, east side, between Townsend and King Streets
- 3rd Street, east side, north of King Street
Special Event Parking Rates
During baseball games and other major events with more than 10,000 expected attendees at the ballpark, parking meters close to the ballpark will charge a special event rate of $13 per hour. These rates help reduce congestion and keep parking spots available in the neighborhoods near the ballpark, discouraging circling for free or cheap parking. Ministerio Festival Celebration
Saturday, July 25: Ministeria Restauracion el Alfarero will host a community event in the Portola Neighborhood.
A street closure of San Bruno Avenue between Bacon and Burrows streets will be in place from 5 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Saturday, July 25.
Muni routes 8 Bayshore and 9 San Bruno will be impacted.
San Francisco Marathon—5K Family Run
Saturday, July 25: The annual San Francisco Marathon will host a 5K Family Run along The Embarcadero, the northern waterfront and in the Fisherman’s Wharf area. For more event details, visit 2026 Saturday 5K Race.
The following street closures will be required from 7 to 10 a.m., Saturday, July 25:
- Northbound The Embarcadero between Washington and Jefferson streets
- Leavenworth Street between Jefferson and Beach streets
- Jefferson Street between The Embarcadero and Leavenworth Street
- Westbound Beach Street between Leavenworth Street and The Embarcadero
The following Muni line and routes will be impacted: F Market & Wharves; 8 Bayshore; and 39 Coit.
San Francisco Marathon
Sunday, July 26: The annual San Francisco Marathon will begin from The Embarcadero and Howard Street at 5:30 a.m., with staggered starts beginning at 5:15 a.m. The race route will loop north along The Embarcadero, through Fisherman’s Wharf and the Marina into the Presidio and onto Golden Gate Bridge, along Sausalito, back onto the Golden Gate Bridge, then south through the outer Richmond District on 26th and 27th avenues. The race will continue through Golden Gate Park, and then through the Haight, crossing Market Street at Guerrero, and then continuing through the Mission District primarily on 16th Street into Mission Bay and then back to The Embarcadero. An attendance of up to 27,500 runners is expected for all the events, which include two half marathons, 5K and 10K in addition to the full marathon. This will be a large citywide running event. Traffic around the City will be affected as soon as the race begins. The following are travel options to cross the marathon route:
East/West Travel
- Richmond District: all streets with exceptions of Lake Street and El Camino de Mar
- Dogpatch: 18th and 20th Street
North/South Travel
- Great Highway (North of Lincoln Avenue)
- 19th Avenue
- Steiner Street
- Fillmore Street
- Valencia Street
- Mission Street
- South Van Ness Avenue
- Folsom Street (from 15th to 17 streets)
- Bryan Street
- Potrero Avenue
- Kansas Street
- De Haro Street
- Pennsylvania Street
Travelers should expect transit and travel delays due to street closures during the race and crowds of racers and spectators both before and after the race. The race will begin at 5:30 a.m. and conclude in the early afternoon.
Various additional street closures will be required between midnight to 3 p.m. on Sunday, throughout the race route including in the Presidio and Golden Gate Park, with the majority not being implemented until later, in the early morning hours and being removed as soon as possible after the races have passed. 29 Sunset: There will be NO service to Baker Beach until 10 a.m.
Taxi Service: Between 12:01 a.m. and 7 p.m., Sunday, July 26, there will be temporary taxi stands for the event at the following locations:
- Clay Street between Drumm and Davis streets
- North side of Drumm Street (Six Spots Only)
Up Your Alley Fair
Sunday, July 26: The Up Your Alley Street Fair will be held in the South of Market area between 11 a.m. and 6 p.m. For event details visit www.folsomstreet.org/up-your-alley.
The street fair area has expanded from previous years with street closures also longer in duration. The following street closures will be required from 6 p.m., Saturday, July 25 to 2 a.m., Sunday, July 26:
- Folsom Street from 8th to 11th streets
- 9th Street from Howard to Harrison streets
- 10th Street from Howard to Harrison streets
- Dore Street from Howard to Sheridan streets
- Alleys and small streets within the street fair closure area
The following Muni routes will be affected: 12 Folsom and 27 Bryant.
Taxi Stands
There will be a temporary taxi stand with two spaces on 8th Street, 294-298 Block, between Howard and Folsom streets.
CONSTRUCTION WORK AND OTHER UPDATES
UPDATE: T Third Fix It! Weekend
The T Third Fix It! Weekends bring together SFMTA crews to complete maintenance, repairs and cleaning that help keep Muni safe, reliable and in good condition. Work takes place along the T Third line through the Bayview Hunters Point and Visitacion Valley neighborhoods and includes track repairs, overhead power upgrades, station improvements, lighting repairs and deep cleaning.
To safely complete this work, T Third train service will be temporarily replaced by the T bus service during scheduled Fix It! weekends. There will be no change to Owl service.
Saturday, July 25 to Sunday, July 26: Construction between Armstrong and Sunnydale streets
- T Third Street Bus service between Sunnydale Visitacion Ave & Bayshore Blvd and 3rd St & Williams Ave
- T train service between 3rd St & Williams Ave and Chinatown - Rose Pak Station
- Transfer between buses and trains at 3rd St & Williams Ave
Bus service will operate all day on Saturday and all day on Sunday during each work weekend. These planned improvements help extend the life of Muni's infrastructure while improving safety, reliability and the rider experience.

UPDATE: 04-3AC80 Curve Warning Sign Project
A Caltrans project which requires overnight closures of freeway and highway on and off-ramps to upgrade and replace curve warning signs. The closures will start at and end at times noted below and will occur between the evening of Monday, July 20 and the morning of Saturday, July 25.
- SR-35 Northbound Sloat Boulevard on ramp will be closed between 10 p.m. and 6 a.m.
- US-101 Northbound Bayshore Boulevard on ramp will be closed between 8 p.m. and 6 a.m.
- US-101 Northbound Alemany Boulevard on ramp will be closed between 12:30 a.m. and 5:15 a.m.
- US-101 Northbound Cesar Chavez Street on ramp will be closed between 10 p.m. and 6 a.m.
- US-101 Northbound Mission/Otis off ramp will be closed between 10 p.m. and 4:59 a.m.
- US-101 Southbound Paul Avenue off ramp will be closed between 9 p.m. and 7 a.m.
- US-101 Southbound Silliman/Silver off ramp will be closed between 12:30 and 5:15 a.m.
- US-101 Southbound Cesar Chavez Street/Potrero Avenue off ramp will be closed between 10 p.m. and 5 a.m.
- I-280 Northbound Cesar Chavez off-ramp will be closed between 10 p.m. and 4:59 a.m.
- I-280 Southbound San Jose Avenue off ramp will be closed between 1 and 5 a.m.
- I-280 Southbound Ocean Avenue off ramp will be closed between 10 p.m. and 5 a.m.
- I-280 Southbound Alemany Boulevard off ramp will be closed between 11:59 p.m. and 5 a.m.
- I-280 Southbound Pennsylvania Avenue on-ramp will be closed between 1 and 4 a.m.
- I-280 Southbound Pennsylvania Avenue off-ramp will be closed between 1 and 4 a.m.
Caltrans contractors will deploy traffic control personnel and message boards will be in place in advance of the closures.
UPDATE: 04-1Y720 SFOBB Bridge Deck Joint Rehabilitation & Joint Seal Replacement
To facilitate Caltrans Bridge Rehabilitation project, an overnight closure, between 10 p.m. and 7 a.m., the next morning, will be required. For project information, visit dot.ca.gov/caltrans.
Overnight closure of on-ramp eastbound I-80 Sterling Street will be between 10 p.m. and 7 a.m. daily between the evening of Sunday, July 19 and the morning of Friday, July 24 at 7 a.m.
The following on-ramp will remain open at: a) 1st Street; b) Essex Street; and c) Bus Terminal.
Caltrans contractors will deploy traffic control personnel and message boards will be in place in advance of the closures.

ONGOING: 13th Street Safety Project
Now until 2027: The 13th Street Safety Project is currently under construction to deliver new traffic safety improvements on 13th Street and Duboce Avenue between Folsom and Valencia streets, including protected bike lanes, sidewalk extensions, traffic signal upgrades, accessibility upgrades, sewer upgrades, repaving, and parking/loading changes.
Crews will work at multiple locations over the course of construction, with intermittent lane impacts, traffic shifts, and parking restrictions. Road users should use caution near crews, follow posted signage, and plan for extra travel time when moving through the corridor:

ONGOING: Transbay Howard Streetscape Project – Road Construction
Feb. 2026 through 2028: As a part of the Transbay Howard Streetscape Project, new safety upgrades, traffic signal infrastructure, landscaping and a protected two-way bicycle lane are being built on Howard Street between The Embarcadero and 4th Street.
Due to work at multiple sites, expect intermittent delays and lane closures on weekdays from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. Drivers should exercise caution near construction zones, follow posted detour signage, and consider using alternate routes. During major events and conventions, work will be paused near Moscone Center.

ONGOING: SFPUC Geary Boulevard Sewer and Water Replacements
Now until 2027: Replacement work of sewer and water lines is currently taking place along Geary Boulevard between 32nd Avenue and Stanyan Street. Due to construction work at multiple locations, some of the bus stops for Muni routes 38 Geary and 38R Geary Rapid will be temporarily relocated nearby. Riders should look for orange signage at impacted bus stops.
