Project Introduction

July 26th will mark the 35th anniversary of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). Here at the SFMTA, we'll be celebrating this historic milestone in a few ways.

ADA35 Celebration

Date: Saturday, July 26, 2025

Time: 12pm – 4pm

Location: Music Concourse in Golden Gate Park

The SFMTA is hosting an ADA35 Celebration on Saturday, July 26th, from 12:00 to 4:00 PM at the Music Concourse in Golden Gate Park. The SFMTA will be tabling alongside some amazing community partners and fellow city agencies. Stop by for fun activities and to learn more about accessible transportation options in San Francisco! We’ll also be giving away disability pride-themed Muni merch.

Logistics:

We’ll be in the Golden Gate Park Music Concourse at the opposite end from the Bandshell, near the 44 bus stop in front of the California Academy of Sciences. If you’re using a navigation app, plug in 1 Bowl Drive.

The event is outdoors, and there are bathrooms and water fountains nearby.

Fog City Access, a rideshare service designed for riders with disabilities and mobility needs, is offering free rides to and from the event. Download the Fog City Access app for iOS or Android to book your ride.

Faces of Muni Campaign

In the coming months, we will be highlighting community members with disabilities as they share their experiences navigating the world on public transit. We look forward to sharing these stories about why Muni matters.
