Metallica Concert at AT&T Park

Saturday, February 6:  A Metallica Concert will be held at AT&T Park. The event will take place from 7:30 to 11 p.m.  Gates will open at 6 p.m.

Motorists are advised to avoid the increased congestion in downtown San Francisco and to avoid using the Bay Bridge in the two hours before and after the event.  Use of public transit, taxi, bicycles or walking is recommended.

Heavy traffic is expected around AT&T Park.  Those who choose to drive should allow extra travel time.

Post-Concert Muni Service

Muni will provide non-stop shuttle bus service from 2nd and King streets to 4th and Market streets Powell BART/Muni Station.

Muni will provide supplemental transit service for approximately 60 minutes after the concert.

Muni Ticket Sales

Metallica fans are encouraged to use Clipper® Card to get to AT&T Park. Customers using Clipper Card receive 50 cents off an adult single ride when transferring to Muni from BART, Golden Gate Ferry and Transit, and San Francisco Bay Ferry routes (Oakland-Alameda, Harbor Bay and Vallejo). Golden Gate Ferry and Transit and San Francisco Bay Ferry also provide a reciprocal single-ride discount for Muni customers transferring to their service.

Customers may also purchase round trip Muni transfer tickets at the Embarcadero Station Muni Faregate east entrance three hours prior to the start time of the concert.

One-way Muni transfers can be purchased at the AT&T Park ticket windows located at 2nd and King Streets. Transfers will be sold from 8 p.m. until 30 minutes after the concert.

Transfers will be valid for up to two hours after the end of event.

Taxi Service

Temporary taxi stands for the event will be in place from 6 p.m. until midnight at the following locations:

  • East side of 2nd Street between King and Townsend streets, 7 spaces
  • West side of 2nd street between King and Townsend streets, 2 spaces
  • West side of 2nd street between Townsend and Brannan streets, 5 spaces
  • West side of 3rd street between King and Townsend streets, 5 spaces
