This year the rink will host a Silent Night Skate party, Tots on Ice, Flashback Fridays, and more. Be sure to check the rink’s press release for specific days and times.

Skaters of all ages can take either of these Muni service routes: Powell Cable Car Line, 2 Clement, 3 Jackson, 8 Bayshore, 30 Stockton, 38 Geary, and 45 Union/Stockton.

Muni service note: No service will be affected.

Veterans Day Parade
Sunday, 11 a.m.
The Embarcadero and North Point Street

In 1918, at the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month, World War I came to an end as the Allies' armistice with Germany went into effect. Since 1938, November 11 has been a national holiday, first to commemorate the armistice and, since 1954, to honor and recognize all veterans for their bravery and service to the nation.

This year’s Veterans Day parade will stage on North Point and Powell streets. From North Point, the parade will travel north along The Embarcadero, turn west on Jefferson Street and disband at Jefferson and Hyde streets.

Parade watchers and participants can take the F Market, 8 Bayshore, 19 Polk, 39 Coit, 47 Van Ness, Powell Hyde and Powell Mason Cable Car lines.

Muni service note: During the parade service on the F Market, 8 Bayshore, 39 Coit, and 47 Van Ness will be affected.

Temporary J Church and K Ingleside Service Changes Reminder:

Due to Balboa Park Station Area and Plaza Improvement construction work, there are now temporary stop changes in effect for the J Church and K Ingleside lines at Balboa Park Station. These stop changes will be in place through the end of the year. For details, please read our September 1 blog post.
