King of the Streets

Saturday, 11 AM to 5 PM
City College

Hop on down to City College on Saturday to check out some of San Francisco's lowest, shiniest, most decked out lowriders on display for the annual King of Streets Lowrider Cruise and Hopping Contest. This event typically draws over 300 lowriders and will feature a car hopping contest that begins at 2 PM.

How to Get There on Muni: Riders may take the KJ-Ingleside/Church Special Line, the 8 Bayshore, 29 Sunset, 43 Masonic, 49 Van Ness/Mission or 54 Felton routes to the event.

Muni Service Notes: There are no planned service changes for this event, though Muni routes near the area may see some higher-than-usual ridership or minor delays due to increased pedestrian and lowrider traffic.

Inner Sunset Flea

Sunday, 10 AM to 4 PM
Inner Sunset

If you love bargain hunting, good food, or supporting local businesses, then head over to Irving Street between 9th and 10th avenues this Sunday for the Inner Sunset Flea. This combination flea market/block party/street fair takes place on the second Sunday of each month from May to November and features dozens of artisans, nonprofits, and local vendors providing fun, food and family-friendly entertainment for all.

How to Get There on Muni: The N Judah Line, 6 Haight/Parnassus, 7 Haight/Noriega, 43 Masonic, 44 O'Shaughnessy or the 66 Quintara routes will take riders to within easy walking distance of the event.

Muni Service Notes: There are no planned service changes for this event, though Muni routes near the area may see some higher-than-usual ridership or minor delays due to increased pedestrian traffic.

California Cable Car Bus Substitutions:

Due to the installation of a crane at 875 California Street, bus shuttles will substitute for the California Cable Cars from the start of service Saturday, July 7 until the end of service on Sunday, July 8.

“On Tap” gives you a heads up about the big events in town and what Muni routes and lines will get you to the party. Look for this feature to be posted usually on Wednesdays for a look ahead to the weekend. Check out our Weekend Traffic & Transit Advisory for more details.
