This Weekend: Transit Improvement Construction on Mission, 2nd Street, Sunset Tunnel

Construction Alerts:

Mission Street: On Friday, work will begin on Mission Street between Cesar Chavez Street and Duboce Avenue to install a southbound red transit-only lane and new right-turn “pocket” lanes. Construction will take place from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.

2nd Street: Over the next few weeks, SFMTA crews will paint new bike lanes on 2nd Street between Market and Howard streets and establish left turn restriction from 2nd Street onto Mission, Folsom, and eastbound Harrison streets.

N Judah Bus Shuttle Service: Sunset Tunnel construction continues this Friday beginning at 8 p.m. and will run until 3:30 a.m., Monday. During tunnel work, bus shuttles will provide N Judah Line service between Ocean Beach and Duboce Avenue and Church Street.

Red transit-only lanes will also be painted on Judah Street between 9th and 10th avenues and 19th and 20th avenues, starting Saturday at 6 a.m. until Sunday at 11 p.m.

Balboa Park Station: Work continues for the Balboa Park Station Area and Plaza Improvements project, affecting the eastbound 8 Bayshore, 8BX Bayshore Express, 43 Masonic, 54 Felton, 88 BART Shuttle and 91 Owl bus stop at Balboa Park. For complete details, visit our service alert page.
