San Francisco Giants Games
Monday, May 4 through Wednesday, May 6: The San Francisco Giants will play three games at the ballpark. Listed below are the start time of these games:
- Three games against the San Diego Padres: 1) 6:45 p.m., Monday, May 4; 2) 6:45 p.m., Tuesday, May 5; and 3) 12:45 p.m., Wednesday, May 6.
Street Closures
To accommodate events that will take place at the ballpark, the following street closures will be enforced:
- Two and a half hours before the opening pitch, the SFMTA will close eastbound King Street between 3rd and 2nd streets to vehicle traffic. King Street will reopen after first pitch until the seventh inning.
- From the seventh inning until post-game traffic dies down, the SFMTA will again close eastbound King Street between 3rd and 2nd streets to vehicle traffic in order to reduce congestion on city streets.
- Additionally, the northbound portion of the 4th Street Bridge (Peter R. Maloney Bridge) will be closed to all traffic except Muni, taxis and bicycles during the post-game period.

- 2nd Street, west side, between Brannan and King Streets
- 2nd Street, east side, between Townsend and King Streets
- 3rd Street, east side, north of King Street
Special Event Parking Rates
During baseball games and other major events with more than 10,000 expected attendees at the ballpark, parking meters close to the ballpark will charge a special event rate of $12 per hour. These rates help reduce congestion and keep parking spots available in the neighborhoods near the ballpark, discouraging circling for free or cheap parking. CONSTRUCTION WORK AND OTHER UPDATES
NEW: I-280 Closures
In the evening of Monday, April 27 until the next morning, Tuesday, April 28th, the following freeway off-ramp will be closed overnight:
- Southbound I-280 off-ramp at Monterey Boulevard will be closed between 11:59 p.m., Monday, April 27 and 6 a.m., Tuesday, April 28
- Southbound I-280 off-ramp at San Jose Avenue will be closed between 1 a.m. and 4 a.m., Tuesday, April 28
- Northbound I-280 off-ramp at Geneva Avenue will be closed between 11:59 p.m., Monday, April 27 and 4 a.m., Tuesday, April 28
In the evening of Friday, May 1 until the next morning, Saturday May 2, the following freeway off-ramps will be closed overnight:
- Southbound I-280 off-Ramp at Alemany Boulevard will be closed between 11:59 p.m., Friday, May 1 and 7 a.m., Saturday, May 2.
- Southbound I-280 off-Ramp at 25th Street will be closed between 1 and 4 a.m., Saturday, May 2
- Northbound I-280 off-ramp at Mariposa Street will be closed between 11 p.m., Friday, May 1 and 9 a.m., Saturday, May 2
- Northbound I-280 off-ramp at King Street will be closed between 1 and 5 a.m., Saturday, May 2.
Caltrans contractors will deploy traffic control personnel and message boards will be in place in advance of the closures
NEW: I‑80 SFO Bay Bridge West Span Paint Project
Beginning Tuesday, April 7, Caltrans will be implementing overnight lane closures on the San Francisco-Oakland Bay Bridge west span to repaint the west span of the bridge for this preservation project. Other work, such as cable and joint rehabilitation may be performed during these lane closures as well. One to three lanes will be closed from Sunday nights to Friday mornings, between 12:01 a.m. and 6 a.m. The bridge will not be closed for this work; crews will set up containment around the work areas and traffic control will be in place. This work will require several months to complete but schedules are dependent on weather conditions.

UPDATE: San Francisco-Oakland Bay Bridge Joint Rehabilitation Project
To facilitate the project, there are ramp closures scheduled throughout the project.
Eastbound I-80 SFOBB On‑Ramp Nightly Closures
Caltrans is implementing temporary eastbound I‑80 on‑ramp closures to the San Francisco-Oakland Bay Bridge during Thursday through Sunday nighttime hours. Detours will be clearly posted, motorists are advised to allow extra travel time and use alternate routes when possible.

UPDATE: Caltrans Work—04-4K1104 (19th Avenue)
Phase 2 (Paving Work): Caltrans began paving 19th Avenue between Lincoln Way and Holloway in April 2026. During construction, two traffic lanes will be closed and one open on the segment in construction. Alternate routes will be established to route traffic around the segment in construction using Junipero Sera Boulevard, Sloat Boulevard, Sunset Boulevard and Lincoln Way.
Listed below are schedules of Phase 2 paving work:
- From 7 a.m., Friday, May 8 until 5 a.m., Monday, May 10: Southbound 19th Avenue between Lincoln and Sloat Boulevard will be repaved
- From 7 a.m., Friday, May 22 until 10 p.m., Monday, May 25: Southbound and Northbound 19th Avenue between Sloat Boulevard and Holloway Avenue will be repaved

UPDATE: Caltrans Project —1Q8204 US 101 Hospital Curve Pave and Median Contract
From the evening of Thursday, April 30 until the next morning, Friday, May 1, the following off-ramps will be closed overnight:
- Northbound US-101 off-ramp at Third Street will be closed from 10 p.m., Thursday, April 30 to 7 a.m., Friday, May 1
- Northbound I-280 off-ramp at Cesar Chavez Street will be closed from 7 p.m., Thursday, April 30 to 6 a.m., Friday, May 1
- Southbound I-280 off-ramp at 18th Street will be closed from 7 p.m., Thursday, April 30 to 7 a.m., Friday, May 1

UPDATE: Bridge Rehabilitation of Central (US 101) and Bayshore (I-80) Viaducts
The Bridge Rehabilitation of the Central (US-101) and Bayshore (1-80) Viaducts is a vital project to strengthen and rehabilitate the viaducts which are 71-years old. To facilitate the project, ramp closures are scheduled throughout the project.
Caltrans anticipates a 55-hour closure of westbound I-80 between 4th Street and US-101 in early August 2026.
SFMTA Parking Control Officers will be deployed along key detour routes during street closures.

ONGOING: 13th Street Safety Project
Now until 2027: The 13th Street Safety Project is currently under construction to deliver new traffic safety improvements on 13th Street and Duboce Avenue between Folsom and Valencia streets, including protected bike lanes, sidewalk extensions, traffic signal upgrades, accessibility upgrades, sewer upgrades, repaving, and parking/loading changes.
Crews will work at multiple locations over the course of construction, with intermittent lane impacts, traffic shifts, and parking restrictions. Road users should use caution near crews, follow posted signage, and plan for extra travel time when moving through the corridor.

ONGOING: Transbay Howard Streetscape Project – Road Construction
Feb. 2026 through 2028: As a part of the Transbay Howard Streetscape Project, new safety upgrades, traffic signal infrastructure, landscaping and a protected two-way bicycle lane are being built on Howard Street between The Embarcadero and 4th Street.
Due to work at multiple sites, expect intermittent delays and lane closures on weekdays from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. Drivers should exercise caution near construction zones, follow posted detour signage, and consider using alternate routes. During major events and conventions, work will be paused near Moscone Center.

ONGOING: SFPUC Geary Boulevard Sewer and Water Replacements
Now until 2027: Replacement work of sewer and water lines is currently taking place along Geary Boulevard between 32nd Avenue and Stanyan Street. Due to construction work at multiple locations, some of the bus stops for Muni routes 38 Geary and 38R Geary Rapid will be temporarily relocated nearby. Riders should look for orange signage at impacted bus stops.
