The project does not include procurement of the electric forklifts, but the installation is necessary to function the forklifts.

Description: Install a new three-stop elevator on the south side of Market Street at the Castro Muni Station. This project also includes creating an accessible path from the southwest corner of Market and Castro Streets to the Plaza-level elevator entrance.

Title: Muni Forward OCS Spot Improvement at Church/Duboce and 30th/Mission

Description: Design and construct changes to the Overhead Catenary Wire systems (OCS) at select intersections to improve transit capacity and safety for the buses traveling through. The first two locations identified for improvements are: Mission/30th Street and Church/Duboce. At Mission Street/30th Street, extend the existing by-pass wires and relocate the existing left turn switch northwards along Mission Street closer to 30th Street. This includes reconfiguration and replacement of existing OCS poles as needed. This improvement would allow the 24 Divisadero bus to bypass the 14 Mission and 49 Van Ness/Mission trolley coaches and other traffic congestion near Cortland Street. At Church Street/Duboce Avenue, modify the alignment of the existing 22 Fillmore OCS along Church St and Duboce Ave to allow the inbound trolley coaches to board and alight at the transit island similarly to the J Church and bypass traffic queues at the stop sign.

Title: Woods Facility Rehabilitation (Electric Bus Charging Station Pilot Program)

Description: This is the one of two contracts for the Woods Facility Rehabilitation Project.

Replace the drive-through bus wash system at Woods Division. The work will include a wash water reclamation system including a brush bus wash system with top oscillating material scrubbers, high-pressure spray arch and wheel wash, undercarriage wash, tire guides, skid plates, pre-wetting/detergent, high-pressure front and wheel wash components, vertical brush and frame assembly, and final rinse. Work also includes the installation of electrical infrastructure and charging stations to power nine battery electric vehicles being procured as part of the SFMTA's e-bus Pilot Project. Post installation, these buses will then be evaluated for long-term use in the Muni fleet.

Title: L Taraval Rail and Overhead Rehab Control Phase I and Phase II

Description: Replace approximately 23,000 track feet of existing tie and ballast paved track along the L Taraval between Forest Side Avenue near West Portal to La Playa. Replace worn OCS special work, trolley wire and trolley poles west of 15th Ave./Taraval St. This project also includes MUNI Forward implementation of the L-Taraval Rapid Project which will implement engineering changes to improve safety and reliability, and reduce travel time between Ulloa/15th and Taraval/46th. Components include, providing traffic signals with transit priority, transit bulbs, pedestrian bulbs, adding or modifying boarding islands, adding or modifying accessible platforms, painting transit only lanes, and other related elements such as reconstructing curb ramps and relocating catch basins. In coordination with the project SFPUC will replace existing sewer with a twin sewer system; SFWD will install two parallel water mains, one on each side of the MUNI Tracks along the L-Taraval Line between Ulloa /14th Avenue and Taraval/36th Avenue. Public Works will be restoring the pavement at locations not covered by the track, sewer, and water replacement scope of work.

Phase I locations include SF Zoo to Sunset Blvd.

Phase II locations include Sunset Blvd. to West Portal.
