Pride In The City
This weekend a number of major events will be taking place in the city which will require numerous street closures. For information and details on what areas will be affected and their impacts on Muni service, be sure to check sfmta.com.
While this weekend is mostly about Pride, the San Francisco Giants will also be back at AT&T Park for games against the San Diego Padres and Colorado Rockies. Don’t forget Muni service will take you to and from the ballpark.
Looking ahead to next weekend, the Fourth of July, please be advised that the annual fireworks display along The Embarcadero will take place on Saturday at 9:30 p.m. Due to street closures and increased vehicle and pedestrian traffic, there will be service disruptions. Parking meters and seven day sweeping with be enforced on both July 3 and 4, while residential parking, daytime street sweeping, and commuter tow-away will not be enforced on either day. Parking meters on Port of San Francisco property, including Fisherman's Wharf and The Embarcadero will be enforced on both days. Muni will operate on a weekday schedule on July 3 and on a Sunday schedule on July 4 (plus special event service for the fireworks!).

Castro and Civic Center
2015 marks the 45th anniversary of San Francisco Pride, and this year’s theme is Equality Without Exception. A weekend packed with festivities kicks off on Friday with the Trans March from Dolores Park to Civic Center Plaza. Things jump into overdrive on Saturday with the Dyke March and Pink Party in the Castro, while thousands of people will flock to the Civic Center on Saturday and Sunday for a party at Pride Celebration.
Due to street closures and service re-routes, it is recommended that you use the Muni Metro subway to either Castro or Civic Center stations to attend all the festivities. If you decide to hail a cab, know that taxi zones will be set up on Van Ness Avenue in front of City Hall and on the south side of Turk Street between Polk and Larkin streets on both days.
Muni service note: service routes in and around the Castro (F Market, J Church, 22 Fillmore, 24 Divisadero, 33 Ashbury/18th, 35 Eureka, 37 Corbett, and 55 16th Street) and near the Civic Center (5 Fulton, 19 Polk, and 21 Hayes) will have re-routes.
Pride Parade

Market Street
The marquee event of Pride weekend is without question the world famous Pride Parade which brings hundreds of thousands of people from all over the world for a jubilant and spectacular show. The parade, with its legion of enthusiastic participants, will begin at Market and Beale streets then travel westward up Market to 8th Street where the parade will terminate.
Due to street closures and an influx of pedestrian traffic, public transportation will be your very best option. Utilize the Muni Metro subway to any of the downtown stations for parade viewing.
Muni service note: all service routes that either operate on or cross Market Street between Beale and Eight streets will have re-routes or switchbacks. F Market streetcars will operate along The Embarcadero only.
