If you received a renewal notice in the mail then please visit the renewal page to purchase next year's permit. 

A confirmation letter will be mailed to the permit address on file. If this letter is returned as "undeliverable", your permit will be cancelled, and your vehicle may be cited as a result.

Please complete the application below. An email address is required.

  

NOTE: You may apply for a transfer only if you have moved and changed addresses within the same RPP area, are replacing a vehicle, changing license plates on the same vehicle, or if your plates have been lost.




After you complete your application:
  1. We will review your application within five business days.
  2. If approved, you will receive an email prompting you to pay for your permit(s). If your application is denied, you will receive an email informing you why.
  • You must complete payment within 72 hours or your application will be cancelled.

Caregiver permits are transferrable to up to 3 license plates, so designate up to 3 additional license plates below. All plates must be listed at this time. 



Short-Term Parking Permits



Please submit two (2) documents proving you live within a permit area.  These documents can be:
  • Current utility bill or bank statement, with applicant's name and address (no cellphone bills)
  • Vehicle insurance policy or card with applicant's name and address.
  • Current rental lease agreement or proof of ownership with applicant's name and address.
(Two utility bills are acceptable.  For example, provide a current PG&E and cable bill.)

One-Day Permits
Buy prepaid One-Day Permits for rental cars, guests, etc.  These non-refundable permits offer flexibility and convenience by allowing you to scratch off the corresponding date on the permit when it is issued.

Per Calendar Year:
  • 1st - 5th Permit costs $7.00
  • 6th - 15th costs $9.00
  • 16th - 20th costs $15.00
A maximum of 20 permits per address per year may be purchased
Weekly Permits
Buy prepaid Weekly Permits for rental cars, guests, etc.  These non-refundable permits have a specific start date and can be purchased in 2, 4, 6 or 8 week increments.  You can purchase up to 32 weeks of weekly permits per calendar year. Enter the duration and start date for each weekly permit you would like to purchase. Please visit the Customer Service Center at 11 South Van Avenue if you need the permit immediately.
