New Route: 28R 19th Avenue Rapid
Starting Monday, August 21, Muni will relaunch the 28R 19th Avenue Rapid to provide additional, faster service on the 19th Avenue and Park Presidio corridor. The 28R will follow the majority of the 28 19th Avenue route between Daly City BART and Park Presidio Boulevard/California Street, with the 28R utilizing California Street at Seventh Avenue as its northern terminal. This service will be in effect on weekdays only from 7am to 7pm.

Route Extension: 31 Balboa
Effective Monday, August 21, the 31 Balboa will be extended to Townsend Street at Fourth Street (Caltrain) on weekdays only.

6 Haight/Parnassus & 43 Masonic
Effective Saturday, August 19, the inbound 6 Haight/Parnassus & 43 Masonic stop on Parnassus Ave & Hillway Ave will be removed due to long-term construction on the UCSF Parnassus facility.

18 46th Avenue & 23 Monterey
Effective Saturday, August 19, the inbound and outbound stops on Sloat Boulevard at 43rd Avenue for the 18 46th Avenue and 23 Monterey routes will be discontinued. This change is a part of the Sloat Quickbuild Project that will add boarding islands, among other benefits, to transit riders, pedestrians and cyclists along the corridor.

Effective Saturday, August 19, the eastbound stop for the 28 19th Avenue, 30 Stockton and 91 3rd St./19th Ave. Owl routes on North Point Street at Larkin Street will be discontinued to accommodate long-term construction.

29 Sunset
Effective Saturday, August 19, 21 stops on the western portion of the 29 Sunset Route will be permanently discontinued as part of the 29 Sunset Improvement Project. These stop removals will help to improve travel time and reliability of the 29 Sunset.

Terminal Change: 19 Polk
Effective Saturday, August 19, the layover location for the 19 Polk at its outbound terminal will be moved from Galvez Ave & Robinson Ave to Donahue St & Innes Ave in response to operator feedback.

Stop Relocations & Evening Terminal Changes: 29 Sunset
Effective Saturday, August 19, the outbound stop on 25th Avenue & California Street will be relocated to the south side of California Street as part of the 29 Sunset Improvement Project. The northside stop location, however, will be retained to serve as a layover location for 29 Sunset bus operators after 10pm, when the terminal will change from Bowley St & Lincoln Blvd to 25th Ave. & California St. in response to operator feedback.

Evening Terminal Change: 30 Stockton
Effective Saturday, August 19, service to Crissy Field via the 30 Stockton will end at 8 p.m. After 8 p.m., the 30 Stockton will continue to terminate on Divisadero at Chestnut. Riders who need to get to the Presidio after 8 p.m. may transfer to the 43 Masonic at Laguna St & Chestnut St until the end of service at midnight.
Note: The 43 Masonic stop at the Presidio Transit Center is the closest stop to the 30 Stockton daytime terminal at the Sports Basement Parking Lot.

Stop Change: 43 Masonic
Effective Saturday, August 19, the outbound stop at Frida Kahlo Way & Judson Ave, in front of Archbishop Riordan High School, will be relocated to the south side of Lee Avenue (CCSF parking lot entrance) to reduce potential conflicts between passenger loading at the school and bus operations.

Terminal, Route & Stop Changes: 48 Quintara/24th Street & 48 Owl
Effective Saturday, August 19, the current 48 Quintara/24th Street route realignment pilot will become permanent, 24 hours day/7 days a week. The changes include route realignment through the Dogpatch, new stops in the area, and a new inbound terminal location. This change is in response to community opposition of the 48 Route operating on Tennessee Street.

Construction Reroute: 25 Treasure Island
Effective Saturday, August 19, the 25 Treasure Island reroute using a new off-ramp and on-ramp from the Bay Bridge to Treasure Island will be made permanent. To better provide predictability for residents of Treasure Island, the outbound "terminal" (point at which the buses change from outbound to inbound) will be on Clipper Cove Way at Treasure Island Road.
