Permanent Stop Changes Starting Saturday, August 22, 2020
Starting Saturday, August 22, 2020, Muni is introducing several stop changes.

New Boarding Island on Townsend & 7th/8th Sts
As part of the 7th Street & 8th Street Safety Projects and Townsend Corridor Improvements Project, Muni is relocating the curbside stop for the 10 Townsend at 7th St to new boarding island on Townsend between 8th and 7th streets. The 19 Polk will also use this boarding island and stop serving the curbside stop at 7th St & Townsend.
This change impacts customers for the 10 Townsend and the 19 Polk.
New Boarding Island on 8th St & Bryant
As part of the 7th Street & 8th Street Safety Projects, Muni is relocating the stop at 8th St & Bryant from the northwest corner to a new boarding island on the south side of the intersection.
This change impacts customers for the 19 Polk.
New Boarding Areas on Irving & 5th and 6th Aves
As part of the Inner Sunset Streetscape Improvement Project, Muni is removing four stops and replacing them with two new boarding areas.

Stop Removal at Embarcadero & Howard
Muni is removing the stop on the northeast corner of Embarcadero & Howard. Use the nearby stop at Embarcadero & Folsom.
This change impacts customers for the N Owl.
Stop Relocation at Lyon & Union
Muni is relocating the stop at Union & Lyon around the corner on to Lyon St. Muni operators suggested this change to improve service by not making two stops on the same block.
This change impacts customers for the 45 Union/Stockton.
