Hayes Street will be closed every Friday and Saturday for the remainder of this month for the Hayes Valley Farmers Market and Shared Spaces event. During the street closure, Muni will reroute the 6 Hayes/Parnassus Route around the area. This event is expected to continue throughout the remainder of 2026. Website updates will be posted monthly as needed.
The San Francisco Symphony welcomes Elim Chan as its new Musical Director Designate and celebrates her first program in the role as she leads the Symphony on June 5 and 6 in a program featuring music by Wagner, Berlioz, and Debussy. Beginning on Friday at 4 p.m., Muni will implement a minor reroute of the 6 Hayes/Parnassus due to a street closure on a portion of Grove.
The annual Sikh Day Parade will take place Saturday, June 6. The parade begins at 11 a.m., and it ends approximately one hour later at 12 noon. Streets will be closed and Muni will reroute transit service off Market Street as early at 10:00 a.m.
On Saturday, June 6, the Escape from Alcatraz Triathlon PTO will take place in the area of the Presidio. The triathlon will commence at 6 a.m. with a swim from Alcatraz to the St Francis Yacht Club. Participants will then bike through the Presidio five times, and then run through the Presidio and along the Marina Green four times.
The Golden Gate Youth Rugby Tournament will be held on Treasure Island on Saturday, June 6, at the SFGAA fields. The event will require a street closure and reroute of the 25 Treasure Island Route.
The annual Union Street Festival will take place in the Marina District this Saturday and Sunday, June 6-7. Streets will be closed and Muni will reroute the 45 Union/Stockton.
The San Francisco Italian Athletic Club will celebrate the Festa Coloniale Italiana in North Beach on Saturday and Sunday, June 6-7, from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. both days. There will be street closures and Muni's 39 Coit will reroute around the event.
The annual Escape from Alcatraz Triathlon will take place on Sunday, June 7. The race will start at 7 a.m. Participants will swim from Alcatraz to the St. Francis Yacht Club, then bike through the Presidio to the Great Highway through Golden Gate Park and back to the Marina, and then run to Baker Beach and back to the Marina Green for the finish.
The 105th annual Italian Athletic Club Statuto Race will take place on Sunday, June 7, in North Beach starting at 9 a.m. This race consists of an 8k run/2-mile walk, with most people walking on the sidewalk.
On Sunday, June 7, Dim Sum and Cars, a new neighborhood event, will take place on San Bruno Avenue between Felton and Bacon streets. This event will require that portion of San Bruno be closed to traffic and Muni will reroute the 8 Bayshore and 9 San Bruno routes around the area.
