Diplo's Run Club 5K will be on Saturday, October 11, in Golden Gate Park. The 44 O'Shaughnessy Route will have a small reroute in the area of the park.
A demonstration and protest will take place in the form of a mass skateboard and bike ride from Twin Peaks to the Castro via Portola Drive and Market Street. After the ride, protestors will converse at Noe and Beaver. The demonstrators are expected to travel in groups, providing time for traffic to pass through major intersections, however, there will be precautionary Muni service changes in the area to avoid the demonstration and heavy traffic.
Larkin Street between Eddy and O'Farrell will be closed this Saturday, October 13, for a Shared Spaces event. Muni's 19 Polk will reroute around the event area. Larkin Shared Spaces provides outdoor space for a community festival with music, arts, and games. This event will reoccur every second Saturday of each month.
On Saturday, October 11, the San Francisco Lowrider Council will host the Cold Frisco Nights lowrider cruise along Mission St. through the Mission neighborhood. Mission Street is expected to be open to traffic and Muni service, however, if necessary, Muni will have contingency reroute plans to fall back on.
Plate by Plate, known to be the AAPI community's first and largest annual tasting benefit, and featuring top restaurants and beverage purveyors, takes place on Saturday, October 11 in SoMa. The event will require a small street closure and a reroute of the 19 Polk Route.
There will be a celebration on Monday, October 13, in the Richmond for family-owned and -operated business Gus's, which has been serving the neighborhood for 75 years -- 60 years of which at its current Balboa Street location. This event will require a closure of one block of Balboa Street and a reroute of the 18 46th Avenue and 31 Balboa routes.
