Hardly Strictly Bluegrass is a free, annual music festival that takes place in Golden Gate Park (Hellman Hollow, Marx & Lindley Meadows). Festival hours are from 1 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Friday and 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday. The SFMTA is working to minimize the transportation impacts around this event by providing attendees a variety of transportation options, including enhanced Muni service, taxi stands and passenger loading zones.
The Italian Heritage Block Party, which takes place on Saturday, October 4, from 3 to 8 p.m., will kick off Italian Heritage Month with a party and a lighting of the St. Peter and Paul’s Church in Italian flag colors. The 39 Coit will reroute in both directions around the event area.
The annual Castro Street Fair will take place this Sunday, October 6, in the Castro from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Streets will be closed as early at 2 a.m., and Muni will reroute around the area of the event. Read below for more information.
