March for Our Lives: March 24, 2018

The March for Our Lives will take place on Saturday, March 24, 2018. Participants will begin gathering at Civic Center Plaza at 1 p.m.; they will march down Market Street toward The Embarcadero starting at 2:15 p.m. Muni will reroute buses that serve or cross Market Street. Read below for more information on which routes will be impacted, when they will be impacted and where board during the reroute.

Getting to Civic Center

The easiest way to get to Civic Center Plaza is via the Market Street Subway. The 30/45 SoMa Shuttle will also operate in a loop between the Caltrain Station and Mission Street until the march is over.

Muni Impact Summary

Most routes will switchback--changing from inbound to outbound--before they reach Market Street. Some routes will operate on Mission Street instead. Most routes that cross Market Street will be rerouted around the event areas. The 30/45 SoMa Shuttle will also operate in a loop between the Caltrain Station and Mission Street from 1:30 p.m. until the march is over. Reroutes start at different times, but all service will return to normal once Market Street is clear.

7 Haight/Noriega 1 p.m. Reroute onto Mission Street between Van Ness Ave and The Embarcadero.
Use 14/14R stops on Mission.
8 Bayshore 2 p.m. Reroute will be along Mission, The Embarcadero, Washington
and California (to Fisherman's Wharf) or Clay (to City College).
9 San Bruno 1 p.m. Reroute onto Mission Street between Van Ness Ave and The Embarcadero.
Use 14/14R stops on Mission.
10 Townsend 2 p.m. Reroute will be along Mission, The Embarcadero, Washington
and Sacramento (to Pacific Heights) or Clay (to General Hospital).
12 Folsom/Pacific 2 p.m. Reroute will be along Mission, The Embarcadero, Washington
and Sacramento (to Russian Hill) or Clay (to The Mission).
14 Mission 2 p.m.

Normal service along Mission.
Temporary terminal at Howard St & Main St.
14R Mission Rapid 2 p.m. Normal service along Mission.
Temporary terminal at Main St & Howard St.
19 Polk 12 noon Reroute will be along Mission, Van Ness
and Golden Gate (to Fisherman's Wharf) or Turk (to Hunters Point).
21 Hayes 12 noon Reroute will be along Van Ness and Mission. 
27 Bryant 2 p.m. Reroute will be along Mission, Van Ness
and Eddy (to Russian Hill) or Turk (to Hunters Point).
30 Stockton 1:30 p.m. Switchback will begin at Post.

31 Balboa 1 p.m. Switchback will begin at Mason.
