San Francisco Giants Games
Thursday, July 9 through Sunday, July 12:The San Francisco Giants will play four games at the ballpark. Listed below are the start time for these games:
- Four games against the Colorado Rockies: a) 6:45 p.m., Thursday, July 9; b) 7:15 p.m., Friday, July 10; c) 1:05 p.m., Saturday, July 11; and d) 1:05 p.m., Sunday, July 12.
Street Closures
To accommodate events that will take place at the ballpark, the following street closures will be enforced:
- Two and a half hours before the opening pitch, the SFMTA will close eastbound King Street between 3rd and 2nd streets to vehicle traffic. King Street will reopen after first pitch until the seventh inning.
- From the seventh inning until post-game traffic dies down, the SFMTA will again close eastbound King Street between 3rd and 2nd streets to vehicle traffic in order to reduce congestion on city streets.
- Additionally, the northbound portion of the 4th Street Bridge (Peter R. Maloney Bridge) will be closed to all traffic except Muni, taxis and bicycles during the post-game period.
Taxi Stands
- 2nd Street, west side, between Brannan and King Streets
- 2nd Street, east side, between Townsend and King Streets
- 3rd Street, east side, north of King Street
Special Event Parking Rates
During baseball games and other major events with more than 10,000 expected attendees at the ballpark, parking meters close to the ballpark will charge a special event rate of $13 per hour. These rates help reduce congestion and keep parking spots available in the neighborhoods near the ballpark, discouraging circling for free or cheap parking. Chinatown Night Market
Friday, July 10: The monthly night market will take place in Chinatown. This is an event that takes place on the second Friday of each month, from 5:30 to 9 p.m.
The following street closures will be required from 1 to 11:59 p.m., Friday, July 10:
- Grant Avenue between California Street and Pacific Avenue
- Commercial Street between Kearny Street and Grant Avenue
- Intersection: Grant Avenue and Commercial Street
All other intersections will remain open.
There will be no impact on Muni service.
Events at Chase Center
Friday, July 10 through Tuesday, July 14: The Golden State Warriors will host the eighth annual California Classic Summer League at the Chase Center, featuring games play between the Warriors, Los Angeles Lakers, Miami Heat and San Antonio Spurs. Below are details of these games:
- Friday, July 10: First performance by Olivia Dean will take place. The show will start at 8 p.m. Doors will open at 7 p.m.
- Saturday, July 11: Second performance by Olivia Dean will take place. The show will start at 8 p.m. Doors will open at 7 p.m.
- Tuesday, July 14: Performance by Joji will take place. The show will start at 7:30 p.m. Doors will open at 6:30 p.m.
Muni will provide supplement 78X Arena Express service:
- Pre-event express shuttle service from 16th Street BART Station to Chase Center will start two and a half hours before each game/event and will end one hour after game/event starts.
- Post-event express shuttle service from Chase Center on 16th Street to 16th Street BART Station will run until the clears.
Special Event Parking Rates

Street Closures
To accommodate events that will take place at the arena, the following street closures will be enforced two hours before and one hour after each event:
- 16th Street between 3rd Street and Terry Francois Boulevard
- Warriors Way between 3rd Street and Terry Francois Boulevard
- Northbound 3rd Street between 16th Street and Warriors Way will also be closed approximately 30 minutes before and 45 minutes after the event.
Only local access will be allowed on Northbound Illinois Street between Mariposa and 16th streets.
No Parking Zone
To facilitate loading and pick up for Muni customers and patrons, NO PARKING will be in effect at these locations during events:
- 16th Street between 3rd Street and Terry Francois Boulevard
- Warriors Way between 3rd Street and Terry Francois Boulevard
- Between the 500 and 700 blocks of Terry Francois Boulevard (TFB)
Taxi Stands
There is one taxi stand located on southbound Terry Francois Boulevard.
Ramp Taxis should use the loading zone on eastbound Warriors Way at Bridgeview Way.
Other pickup/drop-off locations near Chase Center
- 4th Street, which connects to Chase Center via the Gene Friend Way pedestrian path on the UCSF campus.
- Owens Street, which also connects to Chase Center via the Gene Friend Way pedestrian path on the UCSF campus.

Larkin Street Roadway Shared Space
Saturday, July 11: The Tenderloin Lower Polk Merchants and Property Owners Association will host their monthly Roadway Shared Space on Larkin Street.
Larkin Street between Eddy and O’Farrell streets will be closed from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., Saturday, July 11.
These closures will occur on the second Saturday of every month through Saturday, Dec. 13, 2026.
The 19 Polk Muni route will be rerouted.
CONSTRUCTION WORK AND OTHER UPDATES
UPDATE: Bridge Rehabilitation of Central (US 101) and Bayshore (I-80) Viaducts
The Bridge Rehabilitation of the Central (US-101) and Bayshore (1-80) Viaducts is a vital project to strengthen and rehabilitate the viaducts which are 71-years old. To facilitate the project, ramp closures are scheduled throughout the project. For project information, visit Bridge Rehabilitation of Central (US 101) and Bayshore (I-80) Viaducts.
Caltrans contractors will be working on the joints under the Central Freeway along 13th Street between 10th and 11th streets. Westbound closures of 13th Street between 10th and 11th streets will be required:
- From 9:30 p.m., Thursday, July 9 to 4:30 a.m., Friday, July 10
- From 9:30 p.m., Friday, July 10 to 4:30 a.m., Saturday, July 11
- From 9:30 p.m., Monday, July 13 to 4:30 a.m., Tuesday, July 14
Muni routes 9 San Bruno and 90 Owl will be impacted.
UPDATE: 04-1Y720 SFOBB Bridge Deck Joint Rehabilitation & Joint Seal Replacement
To facilitate Caltrans Bridge Rehabilitation project, an overnight closure, between 10 p.m. and 7 a.m., the next morning, will be required. For project information, visit dot.ca.gov/caltrans.
Overnight closure of on-ramp eastbound I-80 Sterling Street will be between 10 p.m. and 7 a.m. daily between the evening of Sunday, July 19 and the morning of Friday, July 24 at 7 a.m.
The following on-ramp will remain open at: a) 1st Street; b) Essex Street; and c) Bus Terminal.
Caltrans contractors will deploy traffic control personnel and message boards will be in place in advance of the closures.

Beginning Thursday, June 11 through Sunday, July 19, during event weeks, it is anticipated moderate impacts in and around areas where official soccer watch parties will be held at events citywide, including official gatherings at Pier 39, Spark Social Yerba Buena Garden and Thrive City (Chase Center) as well as many neighborhood events.
Limited parking changes, as well as street and sidewalk closures in San Francisco are expected. These impacts are expected to be intermittent throughout the tournament to support community fan activities.
The SFMTA staff are working to finalize details and plans with our City partners and will provide an update about all street, sidewalks and parking changes across San Francisco. We look forward to ensuring that FIFA World Cup 26™ SF Bay Area is a rewarding experience for everyone in San Francisco.
UPDATE: 13th Street Safety Project
Now until 2027: The 13th Street Safety Project is currently under construction to deliver new traffic safety improvements on 13th Street and Duboce Avenue between Folsom and Valencia streets, including protected bike lanes, sidewalk extensions, traffic signal upgrades, accessibility upgrades, sewer upgrades, repaving, and parking/loading changes.
Crews will work at multiple locations over the course of construction, with intermittent lane impacts, traffic shifts, and parking restrictions. Road users should use caution near crews, follow posted signage, and plan for extra travel time when moving through the corridor:

ONGOING: Transbay Howard Streetscape Project – Road Construction
Feb. 2026 through 2028: As a part of the Transbay Howard Streetscape Project, new safety upgrades, traffic signal infrastructure, landscaping and a protected two-way bicycle lane are being built on Howard Street between The Embarcadero and 4th Street.
Due to work at multiple sites, expect intermittent delays and lane closures on weekdays from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. Drivers should exercise caution near construction zones, follow posted detour signage, and consider using alternate routes. During major events and conventions, work will be paused near Moscone Center.

ONGOING: SFPUC Geary Boulevard Sewer and Water Replacements
Now until 2027: Replacement work of sewer and water lines is currently taking place along Geary Boulevard between 32nd Avenue and Stanyan Street. Due to construction work at multiple locations, some of the bus stops for Muni routes 38 Geary and 38R Geary Rapid will be temporarily relocated nearby. Riders should look for orange signage at impacted bus stops.
