Lower Polk Live, formerly the Music City Songwriters Festival, will be held on Polk Street between Sutter and Bush and on Fern Street between Van Ness and Larkin on Friday, October 17 from 12 to 6 p.m. The street closures will impact Muni's 19 Polk Route, requiring a small reroute, however, there will be no missed stops in either direction.
There will be a "No Kings" protest and march along Market Street this Saturday, October 18, from 2 to 3:30 p.m. Muni service along Market Street will be routed onto Mission Street and service that crosses Market will have service switchbacks or reroutes to avoid the march area between, approximately, Market and Beale and Civic Center. There will be numerous street closures for event staging.
The Potrero Hill Festival, a fundraiser for the Potrero Hill Neighborhood House, will take place from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the Potrero Hill neighborhood. Streets will be closed and Muni will reroute the 55 Dogpatch.
The Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence and the Bears of San Francisco will be holding the annual Bearrison Street Fair in SoMa this Saturday, October 19. Street closures will last from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m. and Muni will reroute around the event.
Daly City will be hosting a street festival on Saturday, October 18, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Mission Street. There will be a street closure and Muni reroutes around the event area.
Sunday Streets is an open streets event put on as a joint project between SFMTA and Livable City to promote active lifestyles and bicycle and pedestrian activities. These events close streets to automobile traffic and turn them over for bicycle and pedestrian activities. Sunday's event in the Excelsior neighborhood will be from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
