Our Responsibilities
In accordance with state law, the SFMTA has primary responsibility for curb management in San Francisco, including allocation of curb space among different users and managing demand with tools, pricing, and enforcement of parking regulations. The Curb Management group touches various aspects of how the curb is used including the policy that guides curb allocation, some programs that manage particular types of access to the curb, parking pricing and payment, as well as advising other groups in the agency on curb allocation as part of larger projects.
