Objective Objective 4.1: Improve internal communication
Metric Employee rating: I feel I have the information needed to do my job. I feel informed about agency issues, challenges and current events; scale of 1 (low) to 5 (high)
Purpose To create a better workplace through maintaining a high level of communication and satisfaction among employees.
Definition Employee rating on a 1 to 5 scale of satisfaction with availability of job and workplace information.
Methodology Results from the annual employee survey are reported as an average score on a 1 to 5 scale for the following questions:

"Do you agree or disagree with the following statements?
- I have the information and tools I need to do my job.
- I have access to information about Agency accomplishments, current events, issues and challenges."

Responses are weighted to reflect different response rates from employees in each SFMTA division.
